WIP Speed Dating - OPEN MIXERS
Our open mixers are a great way for singles to meet and mingle with no pressure. The atmosphere is relaxed allowing guests to move around at their own pace and speak with whom ever they choose. There are no guarantees that the male to female ratio will be equal and *Note* these events are open therefore anyone can attend as long as they are 26 years or older. Our mixer events include one complimentary drink of choice and free appetizers.
WIP Mixers also give the host an opportunity to get to know our clientele better and answer any additional questions about our services.
At the start of the mixer, guests are required to sign-in. Once you've signed-in you will be given a name tag and ticket for a complimentary drink of choice. In addition you will receive a Date Preference Form to complete and submit(this form will be kept confidential and takes only two minutes to complete) **A date interest card & pen will be available for use if you'd like to write down names of potential matches from the evenings event, just hand your results to the host when your done.** if there are mutual matches you will receive an email with contact info for those mutual matches within 24 hours.**
WIP Speed Dating - PRIVATE "DATE PREFERENCE" MIXERS
The confidential information submitted on the Date Preference Form enables us to coordinate and host private mixers that are focused on the preferences of our clients. These events are INVITE ONLY via email. They are NOT open mixers. At these Date Preference Events speed dating is optional - if there's an equal number of guests (male/female or same sex) that would like to participate in a speed dating session we could easily get one started.
At the start of the DP Mixer, guests are required to sign-in. Once you sign-in you will be given a name tag, pen, scorecard, ticket for your complimentary drink. You will also be asked if you are interested in a speed dating session.
BENEFITS of Completing and Submitting Our Date Preference Form
1- Gives us a basic idea of the type of people you're interested in meeting based on ethnicity, age and/or sexual orientation.
2- Enables us to create private events that cater more to the preferences submitted.
3- Helps us in determining and selecting a venue that is central/convenient for guests to attend and appropriate for the event being hosted.
4- All information submitted is kept confidential
5- There is no charge to complete and submit the Date Preference Form.
6- When an event based on submitted preferences is scheduled, you will receive an email invite along with event details.
7- You do not have to wait to attend a WIP Open Mixer to complete & submit our Date Preference Form. It can be printed right from our site, completed and submitted at your earliest convenience.
There are no membership fees associated with our service.
The only fees paid are for the event you choose to attend .
*Occasionally we will offer discount codes for early registration, these codes can be seen right above the "Get Tickets" box*
(LIVING SOCIAL: If you have a Living Social Voucher please email your full name and voucher number to promo@wipsd.com, you will receive a reply email with your promo code and further instructions. These vouchers DO NOT expire and can be used toward any WIP Speed Dating Event. Again you must register online line through our WIP Website in order to be counted, once you've completed your registration you will have the option to print an event ticket, Your Living Social Voucher is NOT a ticket to attend an event.)
HERE'S HOW IT ALL WORKS
If you see a WIP Speed Dating OPEN MIXER in your city you’d like to attend, click on the event and the event description page will open, scroll to the bottom and you will see a highlighted box where you can get tickets/register. Note just above that box you may see promo codes that offer a discount for early registration. You will be prompted to enter this code on the event cost page before you proceed to check-out.
"What if I want to register myself and a friend using the discount?"
In order to have the discount applied to more than one registration, they must be entered as separate transactions.
If you are not using a discount/promo code than you can register as many attendees as you wish within one transaction.
Important**When you reach the check-out page you do not have to create an account nor do you have to sign-in using FB, Google or Twitter. Just below the Twitter block there is an option to check-out as a guest select this option and it will take you to the next screen allowing you to complete the registration process and print a ticket.
You have to REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE the event takes place - walk-ins are not permitted.
The opportunity to register expires 24 hours/ the day before the event takes place. Please do not show up at the venue without calling first to confirm that the event hasn't been cancelled. Chances are the event is still on if you did not receive an email cancellation or a phone call, but check anyway. ** Please call toll free 1-877-947-5888 or email date@wipsd.com if you have any questions.**
To register by mail - just send your registration info. and check made payable to “WIP Speed Dating Corp”
Mailing address: The HMU Community Inc. c/o WIP Speed Dating Corp., P.O. Box 27. Farmingville NY 11738. You will be notified by email and/or phone once we’ve received your check. **Note we must receive your check 3 days prior to the event in order to secure your seat, if check is not received in time and/or there are no more seats available your reservation will be put toward a future event of your choice.
**There will be a $25.00 charge for any returned or cancelled checks. If you have an issue, please communicate with our administrative offices in NY before creating unnecessary added expenses and headache on both ends and we will be sure to resolve it immediately including a refund.**
OPEN MIXERS
1- As mentioned above our Open Mixers are Open to anyone who'd like to attend and our Date Preference Mixers are Invite Only. See description of each type of event at the top of the page.
SPEED DATING - optional
2- At WIP speed dating events you will have the opportunity to meet and chat exclusively with at least 8 guests who have submitted similar preferences. (mini dates usually lasting approx. 5 minutes each) All guests will receive one complimentary drink or beverage of choice and depending on the host, you may be in for some other cool surprises and perks. The entire speed dating event can last up to 2 hours or more depending on the number of guests in attendance.
3- At the end of the event if 2 guests have a mutual match they can expect to receive within 24 hours an email containing the contact info of their mutual match and they can take it from there. If you did not have a match, you will receive a discount code for 50% off the full price of a future event of choice. (previous and/or current promotions/discounts do not apply and can not be used in conjunction with this discount.)
Note**please do not get discouraged if you did not get a match, it doesn’t mean that there was no interest in you. What tends to happen is that there is interest but it’s not reciprocated on your end so therefore we will not send you contact information. We only send contact info for matches that are mutual.
We will try our best to have an equal number of guests in attendance at least 8 for each side, but we are not responsible for those who register and decide not to show up.
If an event needs to be cancelled and rescheduled, all registered participants for that event will be notified via email of the cancellation 24 hours before the event takes place and will receive a credit/promo code to use toward a future event. If you'd prefer a full refund just email your request to cancellation@wipsd.com along with your full name, address, event date and event title and we will get that out to you asap.
The following are NOT PERMITTED during our speed dating sessions:
1. You are not allowed to ask your date his or her full name.
2. You are not allowed to ask your date his or her actual age.
3. You are not allowed to discuss previous relationships.
4. You are not allowed to ask for any personal contact information i.e. phone#, email address, mailing address, facebook etc.
5. Absolutely No offensive, lewd, sexually driven questions, remarks or behavior ALLOWED! We all must conduct ourselves in an honest, mature, respectful manner.
CANCELLATIONS:
1- You will receive an email 24 hours prior to the event taking place of it's cancellation along with a credit/promo code to use toward a future event of choice.
2- You can cancel your registration 7 days before the event takes place and receive a full refund less a $3.00 processing fee. You do this by calling your event coordinator/host or sending an email to cancellation@wipsd.com along with the following information: your name, address, phone#, email address. Event title, date and time and we will be sure to cancel your registration and send you a full refund less processing fee.
3- Cancelling 6 to 3 days before the event takes place will get you a credit toward a future event.
4- Unfortunately you will not be entitled to a credit or refund if you attend an event and leave prematurely or cancel a day or two before the event takes place. We understand that events and circumstances beyond your control may come up, but you have to take into consideration our position, we have already reserved a seat for you and it would be very difficult to try and fill it with only a day or two to do so. Also it is not fair to the other attendees who paid and where expecting an equal amount of guests.
If you happen to encounter a problem such as this we suggest you try and find a replacement like a friend, just make sure you let the E.C/Host know by calling or emailing them with your replacements name, address, phone# etc. If you fail to contact your E.C/Host with this info your replacement will not be allowed in.
*Changes to our monthly events schedule may occur due to demand, venue and/or event location. Events that already have registered participants will not be affected. Review our LIST OF PENDING / BOOKED EVENTS located at the bottom of our site screen for current changes to our events schedule*

Click on the Current Events tab at the top of our home page to browse upcoming events.
Each event will display a maximum number of seats available, as tickets are purchased that maximum number decreases.
If you have specific preferences based on age, ethnicity and/or gender please click the tab Date Preference Form at the top of our home page, complete the form in it's entirety and follow submission instructions.
*It is our job to make sure WIP events are fun, exciting and a pleasant experience for all who attend.*
